Blue Note 7 Performance - 2009-01-05
Blue Note 7 presents Blue Note Records 70th Anniversary Celebration. Led by pianist, Bill Charlap, the group will tour worldwide celebrating blues musicians like Bud Powell, Herbie Hancock, and Lee Morgan, just to name a few. The all-star septet comprising pianist, musical director, and current Blue Note recording artist Bill Charlap with trumpeter Nicholas Payton, tenor saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, alto saxophonist/flutist Steve Wilson, guitarist Peter Bernstein, bassist Peter Washington and drummer Lewis Nash. On January 13, Blue Note Records will release Mosaic: A Celebration of Blue Note Records, taking a new approach on eight songs that have made Blue Note what it is today. Come by the Seasons Performance Hall this Friday, January 9, to experience Blue Note 7 for yourself! The Show starts at 7:30 pm and tickets are $30, it will be a night to remember!
